I’ve worked in financial services since 2005, beginning in stockbroking in Perth before spending three years in London at Morgan Stanley in Fixed Income Derivatives. That experience, including navigating the Global Financial Crisis, shaped the calm and considered approach I bring to clients today.

As a Director and member of the Investment Committee, I help clients turn complex financial issues into clear, practical strategies. I’m focused on delivering advice that is transparent, thoughtful and tailored to each client’s goals.

Outside work, I enjoy time with my wife and two children and remain a loyal Dockers supporter.

Kerialea Bryde

Paraplanner

I stepped into the financial services industry in January 2020 just before COVID turned the world upside down – what a time to learn about markets, resilience, and the value of good financial advice! Starting out as a receptionist, I quickly moved into client services and now thrive in my current role as a paraplanner at Alder & Partners, which I have been a member of the team since January 2023.

Having worked with firms across Queensland and Western Australia, I bring a wealth of experience across superannuation, investments, and insurance. I’ve worked with a wide range of clients – from families and farmers to medical professionals and high-net-worth individuals – and love helping turn complex strategies into clear, actionable advice.

When I am not deep in financial research or preparing advice documents, you’ll likely find me soaking up a sunset at the beach or spending time with family back in Queensland.

Simone Martin

Senior Paraplanner

I have worked in financial planning since 2016 and bring a broad mix of experience to the role, having worked as a paraplanner, associate adviser, and compliance manager. This background gives me a practical understanding of both the technical and client-focused sides of advice.

As a Senior Paraplanner, I support the advice team by preparing clear, thoughtful strategies tailored to each client’s goals. I enjoy the structure and detail involved in paraplanning and take pride in delivering advice that is practical, compliant, and easy to understand.

Outside of work, I a mum to two young girls. I am a classically trained flutist who has been playing since I was nine and recently picked up piano as a secondary instrument, continuing to enjoy music as a creative outlet. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, particularly hiking long trails when time allows.

Melissa Ormsby

Senior Paraplanner

With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, I’ve built a career around supporting the delivery of high-quality, tailored advice that helps clients make confident, informed financial decisions.

As a Senior Paraplanner, I work closely with our Financial Advisers to develop strategic advice for a diverse range of clients, from individual investors and family offices to not-for-profit organisations. I have a particular focus on retirement and wealth planning, and I take pride in turning complex financial modelling into clear, practical recommendations that align with each client’s goals.

I have strong technical expertise in financial planning software and enjoy building custom templates and workflows that improve efficiency and ensure consistency in the advice process.

I’m also passionate about mentoring and supporting junior paraplanners and client service team members. Sharing my knowledge, especially around projections, modelling, and process improvement, is something I find genuinely rewarding.

Integrity, respect, and professionalism guide the way I work. Whether I’m supporting our Advisers or working behind the scenes on a client strategy, my goal is always the same: to contribute to advice that’s thoughtful, effective, and grounded in what matters most to our clients.

Judit Law

As Head of Advice and Professional Standards, I’m responsible for overseeing the preparation and delivery of our advice documents, ensuring they meet the highest standards of clarity, compliance, and strategic quality.

I’ve worked in the financial services industry since 1999, and over that time I’ve developed deep expertise across a range of areas including superannuation and retirement income, debt management, estate planning, insurance, corporate and trust structures, aged care, and social security.

I’m passionate about helping our team deliver advice that is not only technically robust, but also truly aligned with each client’s individual circumstances and goals. I take a methodical, detail-oriented approach to my work, and I’m driven by a genuine desire to solve complex problems in a way that brings clarity and peace of mind to both our Advisers and our clients.

Consistency, quality, and integrity are at the heart of everything I do. I take pride in being a trusted resource within the business and in playing a part in delivering advice that makes a meaningful difference in our clients’ lives.
